Child custody is a serious issue when two parents cannot agree on an arrangement. For months, they may go back and forth on what they think should be done or what is the best arrangement for them and the child, but in the end, they may let the courts decide for them. Some couples may think that figuring it out for themselves is the easiest thing to do, but other parents may like the possibility of the courts deciding in their favor after all the facts are examined.
Deion Sanders and his ex-wife have recently found themselves back in court to deal with child custody once again. Following their divorce in 2013, Sanders was granted primary custody of his three children. In 2014, his ex-wife, who had been granted visitation, lost that right after having been found in contempt of court. She and Sanders are each currently planning to submit their own requests for changes in the arrangement. Both parties claim their requests are in the best interests of the children, which is why they are back in court.
It is not uncommon for parents to disagree over child custody and point the finger at one another. Since Sanders reportedly feels as though the mother of his children and ex-wife has not been following the court’s orders, he does not want her to visit the children as much as she has been. However, the mother allegedly wants primary custody because she feels Sanders has failed to follow court orders as well.
When parents are feuding over child custody, they will want to hire an attorney. Even though parents do have the option of working together to find a solution for custody, they don’t always choose to do so. Those needing assistance finding a child custody arrangement they are happy with can speak to an attorney.
