According to several reports, the television star Will Arnett has filed for divorce from Amy Poelher, who is a well-known comedian of the small screen. The reports were issued on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

Will Arnett starred in “Arrested Development” and also currently stars in the television comedy “The Millers.” Amy Pohler stars in “Parks and Recreation.” Pohler also hosted the Golden Globe Awards this year.

The 43-year-old Arnett filed for divorce after a long separation from the 42-year-old Amy Pohler.

The separation, which began in September of 2012, ended their nine years of marriage. Filing for the high asset divorce makes it a formal procedure now.

People magazine reports that Arnett was the one to begin the formal divorce process by filing in Los Angeles County Superior Court on April 8, 2014. There is a custody issue in that Arnett is requesting joint legal and physical custody of the two children involved. The two sons are ages five and three.

The two comedians were married in August of 2003 and have appeared together on “Arrested Development” and in the movie “Blades of Glory” and also in “Monsters vs. Aliens.” Arnett made a showing on Pohler’s television comedy “Parks and Recreation” in 2010.

After their separation in 2012, Arnett has been seen with Katie Lee who stars on “The Kitchen” on Food Network and is the ex-wife of Billy Joel. Pohler has been seeing her costar on “Parks and Recreation” Nick Kroll.

According to Us Weekly, this was Pohler’s first marriage and Arnett’s second marriage. He was married to actress Penelope Ann Miller, however, that union ended in divorce in 1995.

Pohler’s next project will be the comedy called “The Nest” and will co-star Tina Fey. Pohler, who used to be a regular on Saturday Night Live, made a 2008 appearance on “Baby Mama.” Arnett’s comedy “The Millers” has been renewed for another year and he will be a star in the movie “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

If you feel as if you are headed for divorce, you may want to consider calling a qualified professional. Someone who will be sure to watch out for your best interests is invaluable in the complex asset division that may occur.
