In an unfortunate, yet typical case of child custody, one man is not pleased with the arrangements that are occurring when he attempts to visit his daughter. The ex-wife has custody of the child and has been denying the father visitation. It doesn’t look like it will get any better anytime soon. The father is currently bringing legal action in order to be able to see his daughter.
The mother has denied him visitation with his child as recently as Feb. 11, 2014. The father arrived to pick up his daughter, and the mother refused to allow him to take her for a court ordered visit. At this point, the police and the media were called; the father called the police, and the mother called the media. The man and woman involved have been in opposition in the past, and this is not the first time this has happened. It seems to be an ongoing issue that needs to be resolved for the sake of the child.
The man has filed a child custody evaluation in 2013, and the court ordered evaluation will occur in February 2014. There is hope that this will settle the dispute, and the child involved will have a more comfortable time with both her parents. Every child should have the opportunity to see both their parents if the court has granted that right.
The parents were a couple for five years before deciding to get married in 2007. They have been divorced since 2009. This is their only child and unfortunately, the child usually suffers so much more than the parents do in a child custody battle.
