Child custody dispute between Grammers is settled

On Behalf of | Feb 29, 2012 | Child Custody

It isn’t fresh news that Kelsey and Camille Grammer have called it quits. Reality TV fans saw the divorce coming if they watched “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Kelsey had found love elsewhere during his marriage to Camille, and he now has a new family.

But just because a new family exists for Kelsey doesn’t mean that he and Camille don’t have details of their own family to negotiate. The couple has not been quick to agree on child custody terms. The matter has caused friction between the exes, but it sounds like a settlement has been reached.

Sources report that Kelsey and Camille have agreed on custody terms, though the details of the arrangement are officially being kept private. What we do know is that in the past, Kelsey had requested that he get sole custody of the now 10- and 7-year-old children. Camille fought against that and continued to fight back when Kelsey suggested that he get the son and Camille get the daughter.

Because we know Camille was not having either of those arrangements, that leaves us to believe that the two came to some sort of shared custody agreement. The details might not be available on paper, but time will likely tell what the two settled upon, especially if Camille is in the next season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Neither of the two stays out of the spotlight very long.

Sometimes, it can take a fight for a couple to get to a child custody arrangement that they feel comfortable with. But when it comes to the well-being of the children, that fight is always worth it.
