Buzz Aldrin’s divorce heats up with separate lawsuit

On Behalf of | Jun 22, 2011 | Divorce

In our last post, we shared that the second man to walk on the moon, Buzz Aldrin, filed to divorce his third wife, Lois Driggs Aldrin. He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, while more details than that were unavailable – until today.

Courthouse News Service reports today that last week’s high-profile divorce filing has instigated a new business-related lawsuit. Aldrin is reportedly taking action in regards to a business that he and his family started, perhaps in an attempt to affect property division down the road.

According to sources, Aldrin ran into tough financial and personal times before he married his now estranged wife in 1988. Even Aldrin has reportedly credited Driggs Aldrin with helping him revive his career and earn an income. With her and his stepdaughter’s help, the family began a business called StarBuzz in 2007, which has served as a public relations firm for the star astronaut.

Since Aldrin filed for divorce, he has reportedly targeted the family business in some controversial ways. Sources claim that he has attempted to freeze the company’s accounts and told contacts to contact him directly regarding business. As a result of those alleged actions, Aldrin is being sued by the others who started the company with and for him – his estranged wife and stepdaughter.

When there are further updates in this celebrity divorce, we will be sure to publish a fresh post.
