Divorce by Menzel and Diggs said to be amicable

Divorcing is never easy, especially so if you are famous and in the news. Idina Menzel, famous for her acting in the nationally acclaimed Broadway show, Let It Go, has been filed on by her husband, Taye Diggs. Mr. Diggs is often in the news and is famous for his role in the movie, "The Best Man Holiday." The two met while on the set of the musical "Rent" and have been together for 10 years. The divorce, while in New York, has affected all of their fans around the United States, including some in Texas.

The story is that their marriage ended due to the fact that one half of the couple was working in New York and the other half of the couple was working in California. This had been going on for a number of months, if not a year. They announced their official separation in December 2013 and Mr. Diggs quietly filed for divorce in November 2014, just prior to the holiday season.

The two actors, who were married in 2003, have a five year old son together and are trying to be friendly and make this as amicable as possible for the boy's sake. While custody has not been addressed yet, one can imagine how contentious that can be. Many famous couples have had a fairly harmonious divorce only to see the whole thing blow up due to custody arrangements. Diggs and Menzel say that they want to try to raise their son peacefully together and are committed to this cause.

Are you thinking of getting a divorce? Have you been filed on by your spouse? You may want to contact a professional who knows the laws of the state of Texas and can answer your questions. A knowledgeable individual who can even help you ask the right questions at this time can be a valuable asset.
