Heart Member Has a Change of Heart and Files for Divorce

On Behalf of | Oct 1, 2010 | Divorce, Spousal Support

With the divorce rate being what it is, the public is rarely shocked anymore to hear that a couple is getting a divorce. A recent divorce announcement, however, has caught many off guard – the many people who are devoted romantics and found hope in the works of both Nancy Wilson of Heart and Cameron Crow, the director of “Jerry McGuire.”

Wilson and Crowe have been married for more than 20 years, which is a good go at marriage relative to many others – especially in Hollywood. Wilson was the one who made the move to file the divorce papers, a decision that surprises the many Heart addicts who love to belt out and live by the group’s passionate, love-seeking lyrics. “How can I get you alone?” and “What about love?” have seemingly taken on a different tune.

The couple’s attitudes about the divorce have not been made public, though reports indicate that Wilson and Crowe have already been separated since June 2008. (Being that they are a famous couple, it is unusual that they were able to keep their separation a secret since then.) In the divorce papers, Wilson listed the reason for the divorce as “irreconcilable differences.”

Sources say that Wilson and Crowe have been sharing parenting responsibilities over their ten-year-old twin boys since their separation in 2008, and the both of them reportedly want to establish joint custody of the children after the divorce. It has also been reported that Wilson wants Crowe to pay her monthly spousal support.

We will post an update as this celebrity divorce case progresses and more details become available.
